Reviews for The Warm Winter
“
Sweet sweet friendship story with woodland creatures in winter. A timeless tale of sitting and honoring the space of another. Something we all need to be reminded of! The artwork will capitulate children and adults and they figure out how it is made. The author gives insight into the process at the end of the book. Get this book! You won't be disappointed!

You start with a sweet story that is so relatable in our world where everyone is always in a hurry. Add a refreshing artform (mosaic) and what results is this wonderful book! This story helps children understand how something seemingly as small as being present with someone can warm their heart. How wonderful our world would be if everyone slowed down to notice others and spread kindness to whomever they encounter!

This book, while written for children, speaks directly to a recent experience I had as a retiree. A woman shared that at a large gathering, very few people took time to see, hear, and speak with her. This book reflects the author's wisdom about the importance of acknowledging others, taking time, and holding space. Beautiful message. Let's all slow down and enjoy the warmth of connection.

Reviews for Everyone Makes Mistakes
“
Children need to know that they are ok when they make mistakes. Helping them to figure out how to handle mistakes are important. The author tells about a child who makes a mistake and then, with a grandparent's help, figure out the best way to solve the problem. The unique artwork adds to the imagination of the story!

"Her Voice, Her Power"
"Her Voice, Her Power"
She breathed it in,
the thick black smoke.
Encircling her.
She couldn't help but choke on it, gag.
For centuries she had been suffering.
The smoke clouded her mind.
Her bright mind, filled with unlimited possibilities and
infinite wisdom.
She reached out.
Hoping today would be the day she would unleash her power.
Find her voice,
Speak her truth.
The one that would tell of her woundedness,
her worthiness.
Her voice that would help her to find her place in her family, her community, her world, her universe, infinity.
Would she be accepted by others? Acknowledged? Seen?
She would.
She trembled in anticipation.
Today was the day.
She knew it in her heart, her body, her mind, her soul.
Of course her soul.
That which is all-knowing, all-loving!
Where her power resides.
She decided it was time.
She was strong enough.
She always had been.
Her voice reached out to reclaim its seat.
The one next to you.
And the one next to you.
She was finally home.
